PrintWeek Awards celebrate the print management industry

For many, the annual PrintWeek Awards are an anticipated celebration of the print and print management industries, and this year’s lighthearted event was no exception.

Hosted by comedian and presenter Dara O’Briain, the PrintWeek Awards 2013 were held in the Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House, helping to lend the evening an even more celebratory vibe as print management industry leaders flocked to the capital from across the UK.

PrintWeek editor Darrell Danielli kicked off the proceedings with a speech that reflected the industry’s renewed sense of vigour and optimism before O’Briain took to the stage to present the coveted awards. The event wasn’t just about celebrating the leading lights of the print and print management industries, however. Attendees gave generously to the PrintWeek Awards prize draw, helping to raise in excess of £5,600 in aid of The Printing Charity.

Beyond the glamour and glitz, the PrintWeek Awards also helped to cement the idea that the print industry is in strong health. Danielli remarked that, ‘The range of work submitted for this year’s Awards demonstrated a true understanding of the power of print’, and went on to say that ‘When we look back on 2013, it will become apparent that it was a truly transformative year for print, when our focus finally switched from survival to growth and opportunity.’

Whilst more and more may be turning to the print industry, for many it may be tempered with the frustration and struggle to find the right supplier. Many seek those print organisations that will do more than simply follow instructions, but instead offer their own expertise and insight into projects to improve them through a clever inside-and-out approach to print.
